Hey, welcome to the first devlog! I’ve made a promise to myself that I’d make one of these at the first of each month to keep myself motivated. Hopefully, it works.
I’m currently working on a game called Astrologue. It is a turn-based RPG with some elements from rhythm games. You take control of the protagonist, an aimless young adult just starting college, for the course of 2 semesters. While trying to find your path, you will meet many others just like you, trying to find their cause.
As of right now, only two people are working on this game. I am in charge of programming and music, and my friend, Stephen will be handling everything art related.
I’ve had the idea for this game in my brain for about a year and change now, and officially started development this late December 2020. Several months and a new game engine later, I’ve restarted development, from GameMaker: Studio 2 to Godot. In terms of features, most of the core gameplay is fleshed out. This includes:
